The Monroe Temple of Liberal Judaism

The cycle of the Jewish year and its Holy Days comprise much of our ritual and community observance within our temple:

Beginning the Jewish ritual year with Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur;

Welcoming Sukkot under the stars at our community Sukkot service;

Dancing with our three Torahs and then unrolling one of them around the perimeter of our social hall as we chant exerpts from it on Simchat Torah;

Lighting all of our menorahs as a community within our sanctuary on Chanukah;

Receiving a congregational Shalach Manot package on Purim or Singing, laughing and booing at our yearly congregational Purimspiel;

Celebrating Passover at our annual community Seder, and

Commemorating Shavuot through both the celebration of our Academy graduates’ confirmation, and our engaging community Tikkun Liel study.
